Paul Wright has over 40 years of experience in carbonate sedimentology, including more than 20 years extensive involvement in the oil and gas industry, in regions such as offshore Brazil, Kazakhstan, North Africa and offshore India. He has taught applied carbonate sedimentology classes worldwide for the last 20 years. Additional experience has been in exploration in SW Africa, NW Africa, Barents Sea, PNG.

He has published over 140 research papers in international journals, with extensive field experience in Spain, Portugal, USA and Oman.
